"On May 17, Raul Yzaguirre visited the University of Notre Dame, where he received his eighth honorary degree.

Earlier that day, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) president and chief executive officer also addressed the graduating class at Alta Vista Charter School in Kansas City, Mo. And he assured the 42 students, who comprised the largest graduating class in the school’s 13-year history, that they were more important than the countless honors he has received"
