"Neighbor Jerry Tooley found calaveras Frida and Diego in the alley between I-35 and Jefferson (1600 Block). Most of the bones are still there. Frida and Diego were stolen Thursday, October 13th at about 11:30 pm by neighborhood youth. Diego's suit was missing but we now have new clothes for him , thanks to Mr. Lopez at the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop across the street . Frida too has been embellished after her harrowing experience. They are both back on the Avenida but will be experiencing curfew. Jerry saw our earlier email so he knew where to return the kidnap victims. We're grateful. The ofrenda will be on display until Saturday November 5th.Gloria Bessenbacher of Sociedad Hidalgo advised me that an important part of the Dia de los Muertos tradition is attending the play "El Tenorio". Sociedad Hidalgo's Experimental Theatre group will be presenting "El Tenorio" at 2pm on Sunday, November 6th at the Little Theatre GEB233 - Johnson County Community College, Overland Park KS. Admission is free. Hope some of you will be able to attend. This is truly amazing. - thank you for all the 'sympathy notes"
